Overview of Swardman Removeable Cartridges:

Swardman 5-blade cylinder

This type of cutting cylinder is practically risk-free. It offers the largest mowing range and therefore does not require a strict and regular mowing schedule (however, that does not mean you can cultivate an English-style lawn without any discipline). The 5-blade cylinder is also slightly lighter and cheaper to produce. This primarily appeals to customers who require a lower mower weight and a lower price. We recommend the 5-blade cylinder to all those who have just begun using a cylinder mower or cannot or do not intend to mow their lawn on a regular basis. Alternatively, it is also suitable for those who go on a lot of business trips and cannot always mow their lawns according to their preferences or as a reserve cartridge for 10-blade cylinder users in case of unexpected blunting of the blades or mowing after returning from a long holiday.

• cutting frequency is 60 cuts per meter traveled
• recommended cutting height is 25–45 millimeters
• it is most often used in manual and electric reel mowers
• it can successfully mow the lawn even when the mowing is done irregularly, cut taller grass, and handle mowing once a week but no less frequently
• thanks to 5 blades, it has a lower cutting frequency, which in the case of law and dense lawns can cause fraying and shredding of the grass blades. If such a situation occurs, it is time to move to a cartridge with a higher number of blades

Swardman 6-blade cylinder

This type of cartridge is a great choice for all those who have already used a reel mower or are used to mowing their lawn twice a week and want to mow their lawn to a height of less than 25 mm.

• cutting frequency is 72 cuts per meter traveled
• recommended cutting height is 20–40 millimeters
• most often used with self-propelled reel mowers
• cuts very nicely, suitable for gardens
• requires mowing once to twice per week
• thanks to 6 blades, it has a lower to medium cutting frequency, which in the case of law and dense lawns can cause fraying and shredding of the grass blades. If such a situation occurs, it is time to move to a cartridge with a higher number of blades

Swardman 10-blade cylinder

This type of cutting cylinder is suitable for all those who want to increase the quality and density of their lawn or maintain their lawn in top condition. Of course, it is also designed for golf courses, tees and all extra low lawns as well as for users who have some prior experience with 10-blade cutting cylinders. It can also be used as a spare cutting cylinder for 5 and 6-blade cylinders for periods when you have time to mow often.

• cutting frequency is 120 cuts per meter traveled
• recommended cutting height is 10–20 millimeters
• most often used with reel mowers for golf courses
• provides exceptionally dense cutting, suitable for low mowing up to a few millimeters
• requires mowing 2 to 4 times per week, cannot mow taller grass blades

Verticutter

The verticutter is used to cut the lawn vertically. This removes the longer sprouts of grasses and cleans the lawn of withered remains. If done correctly, verticutting does not pull the grass out of the lawn but only cuts off long grass shoots and creates small grooves in the soil.

Scarifier

Whether after verticutting or not, this cartridge is the ideal tool for cleaning the lawn from all excess material such as leaves, needles, withered plants and thatch, bark, small stones, small fruits from trees etc. 
This Swardman replaceable cartridge is a more effective alternative to manual work with a rake. At the same time, it can brush the grass nicely, which is great when you want to significantly cut the lawn.

Groomer

The groomer is designed for regular and frequent care that is friendly to your lawn. It cuts the grass vertically, shortening horizontally growing blades and removing thatch from the lawn. Using the groomer regularly will help you achieve a denser, healthier, and more evenly growing lawn. Unlike scarifying, lawn grooming is a lawn-friendly procedure that can be done even once a week. This cartridge is intended for advanced lawn-lovers who require only the best for their lawns and are determined to achieve the best results possible.

Rotary brush

The rotary brush is intended primarily for sanding, topdressing, and aeration. The effectiveness of the rotary brush during the application of sand into your lawn exceeds the well-established methods of smoothening or manual brushing. The rotary brush is also suitable when you have an uneven lawn that you want to smoothen with sand. All you need to do is throw the sand where you want it and ride over it a few times with the brush. The surface will remain even, and the sand will be inside the turf.
