Aeration with solid tines is a gentler type of intervention in the soil profile of the lawn than aeration with hollow tines. Aeration with solid tines can be done in early Spring. This will significantly improve air access to the root layer of the lawn. However, this method does not lead to pulling out of plugs of soil which are formed during aeration with hollow tines.
The tines of the aerator are interchangeable – if necessary, hollow tines can also be purchased with the aerator.
